Barcelona, Spain event - International chocolate fair

Until tomorrow, October 22, you can attend and enjoy the second Chocolate Fair at the Barcelona International Conventions Centre, located in the Forum.

What about trying chocolate chewing gum, chocolate honey fritters or chocolate sandwiches apart from the normal, tasty chocolate fondue?
Other curiosities include chicken, prawns and croquettes covered with chocolate.

Or do you simply want to enjoy fountains with liquid chocolate or chocolate sculptures of a big variety, or taste any of the multiple chocolate ice creams of different sizes, colours and shapes?

At the fair there are also some pastry chefs and cooks who will produce chocolate delicacies.
Other activities for kids and workshops are held, as well as tasting sessions and live music.

Events - Festival of World Music in Barcelona, Spain

Until October 27, 2006, the Auditori in Barcelona, Spain, will host the Festival of World Music, now in its eleventh year.
This year the festival is focussed on musci from several European countries, although the programme also includes Indian and Persian music.

Some of the performing musicians are Thalweg with their Celtic music, Altan, Bratsch, Taraf Goulamas, Zakir Hussain and Sultan Khan, Spakka Napoli as well as The Boys of the Lough, performers of Scottish and Irish traditional music.

Free movies at the Filmoteca de Catalunya in Barcelona

The Filmoteca de Catalunya has free film sessions between October 2 and 8 to celebrate its 25th anniversary this October.

Movies include among many others The Elephant Man, The Straight Story, Mulholland Drive and Wild at Heart by Hollywood director David Lynch. Other films are by directors such as Kim Ki-Duk, Sigfrid Monleon, Isaki Lacuesta and Richard Fleischer, apart from the documentaries The Hermitage Dwellers from Aliona Van der Horst, Aiguaviva by Ariadna Pujol and El nacimiento de una pasion by Jesus Sanchez.

Free invitations can be picked up at the ticket office of the Filmoteca de Catalunya in Barcelona.
