Zagrilla Alta has, among other attractions, a transparent water spring that flows from the rock which gives name to the Zagrilla river, flanked by a public laundry still in use where the villagers do the washing trying to preserve this ancient custom. Their streets border the mountain range irregularly, following the Arabic building structure: White towns with white facades, ornamental discretion in the exteriors and floral variety in the inner patios. You can find natural settings of great beauty, being able to accede to them through footpaths, by biking or even by horse-riding. Also in an area not further than 45 minutes by car, you can visit towns of great historical-artistic, archaeological or scenic interest such as Priego de Cordoba (10 minutes) and Alcala la Real. |

Moreover, you can taste typical dishes of the region in restaurants and inns next to our house. You can also buy home-made bread and candies in the bakery. In Zuheros an ecological goat cheese can be tasted. In Rute, different varieties of Anises and liqueurs, as well as piononos, hojaldres and candies of Christmas. The pure olive-oil of the region is of excellent quality and flavour and close you can find a cellar with the best wines of the area. |
