The Historical Watermill Remanente in Las Nieves was built
in the 18th century, right there where the canyon 'El Rio' opens,
10 minutes by car from Santa Cruz, at a two minutes walk from the
island's supreme church 'Las Nieves', at an altitude of 250 mts.
above sea level.
Despite its romantic-rural situation it is easily accessible through
a country road passing nearby. The last 100 metres to be done on
foot along a steep cobble stone path.

The complex itself is built onto a ridge and offers breathtaking
views into the canyons underneath and all the way down to the sea.
In the surroundings small farmers cultivate fruit trees and vegetables
and keep cattle. Twice a day goats are being driven into the nearby
mountains covered by thick pine forests. Their paths are ideal for
walks into the nature starting right at the mill.
Two restaurants are within a few minutes walking distance. By car
it takes less than five minutes to the nearest grocery. We do recommend
a car (to check our offers, see bottom!).

The complex has been restored in 1999 and consists of the water
tower and two apartments.
All rates are daily rates and include all taxes the final cleaning
as well as weekly cleaning with change of linen and towels. Minimum
stay is one week.

Small apartment:
Consists of the main mill house, which has been converted into a
double bedroom with a large double bed, sitting corner with a sofa/bed
for the eventual third person, SAT colour TV, radio cassette player,
and writing desk. The fully equipped separate kitchen/dining-room
and the shower/WC are both directly accessible. From the private,
furnished front terrace one has a panoramic seaview.

Large apartment:
Consists of the two top floors of the complex and its annex. The
double bedroom with a large double bed, as well as the shower/WC
are in the annex, which is separated from the main complex by a
terrace (15 mts). There, on the other end of the terrace and on
the same level as the annex, the fully furnished kitchen and the
dining-room as well as the sitting-room on the top floor all have
superb views into the surrounding mountains and onto the sea.
From the sitting-room you have direct access to a large, furnished
roof terrace, again with breathtaking views. The apartment is equipped
with SAT colour TV and radio cassette player.
