The first wine cellar - hotel in La Rioja, the 2 stars Hotel La Casa del Cofrade, is located in Albelda de Iregua, within the premises of Bodegas Vinicola Real.

The village is 14 km south of the capital of La Rioja, Logroño, at the entrance of the mountain range Sierra de Los Cameros.

 

The hotel is a newly built stone construction, similar to a monastery. The wine cellar is situated on the ground floor, the hotel rooms are on the first and second floor and in the tower there is a sitting room for our guests.

The accommodation disposes of 18 exterior rooms with one or two beds, balcony or window with views to the Iregua valley. Some of the rooms have a lofted ceiling. The rustic rooms are equipped with:

The Casa del Cofrade offers their guests a wine cellar visit: A tour of the wine production area with mountains of wine bottles and barrels, passing the spectacular dining room, which is the origin of all. It is a small, familiar and crafted wine cellar that has a very exquisite interior design.
