the different options of culture, leisure and nature of the area undertaking
the following routes: |
- The Cistercian Route: At 30 kmts. It's one of Catalonia´s touristic
main attractions that joins the three most important Cistercian
monasteries of the country: Poblet (declared as World Heritage
Site in 1991), Santes Creus and Vallbona de les Monges. You can
cover the whole distance by car, bike or on foot.
- The Medieval Route: It includes the main medieval villages of
the region, which still keep an important part of their medieval
walls and buildings (Gothic churches, palaces and castles).
- The Wine Cellars Route: You'll get to know the cellars built
( in a modernist style the mayority of them) at the beginning
of the XXth century as cooperatives.
- Route of Gaia Castles: Castles built between the Xth and XIIth
centuries, when this region was the frontier between the domains
of Christians and Arabs.
- Nature Routes: You can explore the great variety of signposted
paths and visit some nature protected areas such as the "Obagues
del riu Corb" or the forest of Poblet (the biggest holm oak forest
in Catalunya), as well as the mountains of Prades or the river
Gaia. You may stroll these routes by walking, by bike or riding.
