The Cal Ruget Biohotel is situated in the heart of the Alt Penedes, at the limit of the municipality of Vilobi del Penedes, just 9 km. from Vilafranca del Penedes and about 45 km. from Barcelona and Tarragona.

From our Masia nestled between vineyards and cultivated land, characteristic of the area, you can enjoy unlimited views of the mountains of Monserrat and the castle of Sant Marti Sarroca.

The Finca contains a fenced-in garden of 10.000 m2 composed of vineyards, fruit trees, ecological vegetable garden and an elegant swimming pool and numerous nooks and corners that invite you to rest, enjoy and listen to the sounds of life.

As a Biohotel, the very first of its kind in Catalonia, our mission is a maximum respect for the environment, cultivation and the use of biological food products.

To enjoy the hotel is to entice and satisfy the five senses without hurry, paying great attention to the little and important things of life.

We want you to have everything you need. That is why you may fully enjoy any of our 7 rustic and country-styled rooms with all comforts.

In the Masia you will find special areas and little corners here and there with a fire-place, areas with music, books, magazines, newspapers and a TV-lounge. In our quaint little wine-cellar you will be able to taste the exquisite wines and cava, that give such prestige to the D.O. Penedes.

In our recreation and games room, you might want to play a game of billiards or pool, table football or to simply share some of the many other entertainments we have for you.

Our commitment is towards a feeling of well-being based upon familiarity and personalization.

Eco-gastronomy means among other to share the pleasures of a dining table with calm, which we miss so much in our hurried lifes. We are for the most part self-sufficient and our local suppliers come from within a maximum radius of 100 km and are preferably bio-certified.

At Cal Ruget a fully equipped kitchen is available, where you can get together with your friends or family and everybody participates, or where we prepare everything you need.

With our special classes of nutritional education you can learn and see how delightful eating can be, get to know basic techniques of cooking, learn how to recognize healthy biological foods and create your own simple, varied, healthy and enjoyable dishes.
