Cal Segudet is located in Castellnou de Bages, Barcelona, with
623 inhabitants, right in the centre of Catalonia, and well communicated
through different roads.
It is a small rural hotel in a new building -opened in July 2001-
constructed according to the ancient and traditional structure of
the Catalan large houses.

| The historical routes for smugglers, "maquis" (those
who were against Franco's dictatorship) and war exiles along this
township, are turned nowadays into marvellous green paths to stroll
around. |

A rustic and well-cared decoration, furniture and ornamental elements
(recicled all of them) as well as the mixture of warm colours and
natural light, create a cosy atmosphere full of wellbeing sensations.

| The accommodation has a capacity for 21 people and consists of: |

First floor:
- 4 quadruple rooms with single beds
- 1 quintuple room with a king-sized bed and three single
ones

| All rooms are duplex. Each room has a different name: Carpenter,
blacksmith, dressmaker, farmer, baker. All of them are equipped with
complete bathroom, TV, heating, and decorated with elements related
to those professions. Daily cleaning of rooms and bathroom, as well
as change of bed linen and towels. |
| The hotel facilities are completed with: |

- Balsareny Castle, a private property. Visits in groups of 8
people minimum. It keeps an important art gallery (Murillo, Goya,
Zurbaran...) (15 kmts)
- Monastery of Sant Benet de Bages (15 kmts)
- Old part of Suria (15 kmts)
- Salt mountain in Cardona: Visit the ancient salt mines (30 kmts)
- Nature Reserve and Monastery of Montserrat (35 kmts)

| In the town you can visit the following places: Romanic chapel (XIth
century), Torre de los Moros, from where you can see the pre-Pyrenees,
La Sierra de Cadi and the highest mountains of Andorra. Monumental
group formed by the Graveyard and the Museum. |
