Introduction:

The Spanish language school specializes in the teaching of Spanish in a modern context, with the highest levels of quality, skilled and professional teachers and a pleasant atmosphere.

Founded in October 1979 as a private school, has always aimed to guarantee the highest levels of quality, highly professional teachers, and reasonable prices. The school is located in the centre of Barcelona, in Roger de Lluria street within the so-called Modernist golden rectangle, two streets off Passeig de Gracia and Gaudi's La Pedrera with easy access from/to any part of the city by underground or bus.

The school has 13 well-equipped and comfortable classrooms specially designed to guarantee a high level of comfort for small groups (maximum 10 students per class). Students have free access to the conference room, the library and the lounge area. The language school cooperates with all kinds of European institutions, chambers of commerce and international institutions.

Methodology and teaching staff:

Our approach is communicative and direct, with special emphasis on speaking. Grammar and structure is gradually incorporated making it possible to assimilate and practice both oral and written language.
All our teachers are university professionals with years of experience and a real vocation. Our highly communicative approach makes it possible to assimilate both oral and written language using natural learning processes, with examples drawn from normal, everyday situations and an emphasis on practical activities.

Students have at their disposal the following services at the school:

Computer self-access centre with: PCs, CD-ROM, DVD

Free Internet access from 9 to 22h. Monday to Friday and from 10 to 13 on Saturdays

Library with a great variety of Spanish and Foreign titles (Grammar and reference books, literary sources, i.e. graded readers and novels...).

Newspaper archives with Spanish and foreign newspapers and magazines written in English, French, German and Japanese

Self-study laboratory with audio and video equipment

Satellite TV with channels in all languages

Conference room

Lounge area with vending machines (sandwiches and drinks)

For those not familiar with the system or lacking the time to look for resources, the school offers a series of structured curriculums which will guide students through the course according with their level.

Cultural activities at our school:
In our language school we are very interested in providing our students with all kinds of cultural activity which reinforce our students' language learning. In order to achieve this aim we organise many interesting cultural activities on the school premises such as:

Films :
From Monday to Friday, join our Multilingual film sessions. Watch the movie with/without subtitles.
We also provide our students with vocabulary sheets in order to reinforce their vocabulary skills through watching the film.
Free entrance.

Spanish films:
Wednesdays at 13.00 (times might vary) Spanish films in original version.
We provide our students with vocabulary sheets and questions about the main parts of the plot, characters and so on.
Free entrance.

Talks in different languages:
Talks on different cultural aspects in English, French and Spanish.
