Enrolment:
Course confirmation
Students will receive the following documents and information,
which confirm their participation in the course:
A letter indicating that the chosen course has been confirmed
and providing the student with information about his/her host
family. A city map is also enclosed to indicate the exact
location of the host´s house. Students must check the
document to make sure that all the information about the course,
level, dates and type of accommodation is correct.
Course cancellation
Cancellation by the language school:
Should there be no more places available on the course you
choose, your money will be refunded immediately and we will
inform you of alternatives (other places or dates). This can
be done by telephone, fax or e-mail if you give us the necessary
details.
Cancellation by the student:
If you cancel the course with more than 20 days notice, we
will also refund the whole amount sent, except the registration
fee (78 Euros). The total price of the course must be paid
20 days before the first day of the course. In any case, the
amounts sent can always be placed on later courses.
Accommodation with Spanish families:
It is often students from the school itself who decide to
host foreign students (mainly young students) in their own
homes. It is a good way for both the student and host to practice
language and find out more about each other´s countries
and culture.
The families who usually work with us live near the school
and if public transport is needed, their houses are no further
than four underground stations away.
The language school will always have visited the host families beforehand.
Students always book a specific type of accommodation: a single
room with half-board (full board is only requested by very
young students or students with restrictive diet needs). The
host family is in charge of providing the students with breakfast
and dinner from Monday to Friday and during the weekend they
are provided with all meals at their host´s house (full
board: breakfast, lunch and dinner). The total price also
includes laundry and cleaning.
Students usually contact their host families directly on
Saturday or Sunday.
In the course confirmation letter they receive before coming
to Barcelona, the school explains how to get to their host
families and to the school. We also talk about what their
first day of class will be like. If the student or agent requests
it, the Spanish family can pick the student they host up from
the airport or the train station when he/she arrives.
Self catering
Some of our students prefer to share their accommodation
with other people. There are flats available to them, not
all of them with use of kitchen but they include the main
services: Cleaning, telephone and so on. The price for one-month´s
rent comes to an average of 380 Euros.
Student residences
Each university residence has its own booking conditions
and prices.
